In the latter part 2020 we had the pleasure of delivering a flexible, and modern Office refurbishment for Care provider based in York. This highlighted their commitment to their current team members whilst future proofing and supporting their growth. 

Their new office space enables them to engage with their agile workforce, offering them a training space, kitchenette and a variety of working environments that support the diverse roles and requirements of individuals and wider teams from a central base. 

Completed in late 2020, our team delivered this project in under 6 weeks, providing a complete service of design, build and furniture, within the client’s budget and time constraints.

 

A multipurpose agile space ready for growth

With Riccall Care’s diverse workforce; a mixture of remote teams and operational personnel we needed to create a space that could support day to day work, collaborative training and touch down for the remote teams in a compact space, without it being overwhelming and confined.

To do this we opened up the space. Through further space planning we completely reconfigured the office, removing partitioning and where required replacing with glass partitions to create a sense of space, taking advantage of the natural light that the building offers. We complemented this reconfiguration with light textures throughout the interior and furniture choices. All of which enabled us to increase capacity of the space whilst ensuring the office still had room to breathe.

With the office over two floors, we created a multi purpure space with dedicated workstations, a multipurpose training room with storage lockers, modular seating, desking and AV, kitchen and small quiet space with booth style seating for isolated task-based work on the first floor. We then increased the dedicated desk spaces on the second floor, incorporating a secular office with glazed partitioning for privacy and larger breakout and kitchen area for informal conversations/meetings, collaborative activities and for people to have lunch.

All of this has mean’t we have been able to transform this space into an open and inviting office environment that aids collaborative work and communication whilst increasing desk capacity without the space feeling cramped. The light colour palette used throughout the furniture and wall colour choices all aid the feeling of space, taking reference from the company’s brand, ethos and even surrounding open spaces where the office is located. This has been further accentuated with the use of planters (these where installed post photography) light wood furniture choices and green spot colours of the soft seating and paint choices.
