Increasing demand for power and data

Being a tech company, Visualsoft have installed excellent Wi-Fi to cover every corner of their workspace. Staff can work anywhere with unlimited access to data. But the battery life of their laptops, tablets and other devices is limited.

So it was important that the design of their workspace would satisfy their constant need to recharge their work tools easily. The staff and the culture of the company are quite young. But who wants to crawl under a desk to hunt for a place to plug in?

Power where it’s needed

We worked with a company called CMD Ltd to give Visualsoft elegant, easy access power and data solutions.

CMD are a British manufacturer who use their deep electrical knowledge and the innovative application of new technology to deliver power and data to exactly where you want it in commercial environments.

Every part of the work setting at Visualsoft has desktop power provision with CMD’s Contour Desktop power modules.

• fix it to the desktop via a C clamp or adhesive fixing

Tidy cable management

However, the power and data story actually starts at the floorbox. The cables coming from each floorbox to the banks of desks are contained and tidy thanks to CMD’s Spiral Cable Spines.

From there, power and data cables are fed vertically into high capacity, horizontal cable trays underneath the work surface.
